giving skaters theedge
Has it been a while since the home was a sanctuary of happy harmony?
Life as a skater mum – or dad – can be filled with:
- grumpy kids,
- grouchy spouses,
- early mornings,
- money drains,
- teenage and pre-teenage moodiness,
- frustration and
- a (non-existent?) social life that revolves around your skater (when was the last time you managed more than a quick coffee with the other rink mums or dads?)
It really doesn’t have to be this hard! Believe me – I’ve been there, done that and got a wardrobe full of the t-shirts.
So how can I help?
In two ways.
By working with your skater I can eliminate the tears, grumpiness and meltdowns. I can help you ease up the money drain too – because until the mindset is right, your skater will just be doing the same old thing, getting nowhere fast, and staying stuck, while you carry on paying for lesson after lesson and seeing the same results.
“If you do what you’ve always done, you’ll get what you’ve always got, right?”
If you need a different outcome, you need to change what you’re doing, or how you’re doing it. And that change starts with the mind.
The other big way I can help is by working with you. I can help you to eliminate the exhaustion, the guilt, the envy, the frustration, the grouchy spouse (no – not with a hit man!) and even the social life. I can give you back the free time you didn’t think you’d ever find again.
I can help you step back and see the wood for the trees and become a much more effective, supportive, consistent and happy skater parent. Guilt free. Well almost – I have no control over your chocolate habits (though actually there’s a great little NLP technique for that too!).
It’s not just me saying this – here’s what one of my skater mums said:
“Truly amazing, a huge thank you, you have made my life as a skater’s Mum less stressful, and I can enjoy watching her skate, seeing her smile again. Xx”
